On location: Great Camp Sagamore, Adirondacks

From Gilded Age retreat to modern day escape

Great camp Sagamore is a historic Great Camp in the Adirondacks. It's much more than that.

During the day, it's a museum, showcasing William West Durant fine work to create an escape for the Golden age upper society.

At night, it's a place where you can stay, in the same rooms, dining in the same great hall, as the Vanderbilt did till 1954. This unique experience is cell phone, wifi and TV free - it's nature, peace, and full relaxation.

Check out the numerous workshop they organize with the George Eastman House on photography, the Road Scholars, or the local artisans.

A Historic National Landmark since 2000, Great Camp Sagamore is a place where you are immersed in a historic building, to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature.
